Life - Life is an ever-enfolding combination of causes and effects within a singular gradient that we all are a part of – ever changing mental and physical forces and energies of the Singular gradient/Universe/life.

All things are relative to each other and are inter-dependent on each other for their existence to one degree or another – how we deal with things and situations while we experience our existence in this singular gradient is our life, good bad or indifferent.

The manifestation of the singular gradient/universe as the physical and mental construct that is the human being is unique in the world in that it is able to realize its existence within its surroundings and environment. The human being experiences and processes its environment according to its sensations and perceptions of and in it – and is intimately aware of this process objectively. This is not a readily apparent quality in most humans, some realize it naturally and others must be taught/guided to practice and realize it.

We as humans, as all life on this planet - operates in the world by nature and nurture – in that we are born with certain natural basic functions or genetic and species specific programming to create, maintain, experience and facilitate life, we create and learn supporting functions and activities to adapt to the particular circumstances and environment we live in, passing on what “works” relative to where we are in life through genetic and mental encoding, instruction and sharing relative to our physical and mental environment.

What is most important to this process is the “Prime Principal”, “Fundamental” or Vital Essence that is present in and supports these activities – this is what meditation endeavors to unveil to us this “Prime Principal” that is constant and unchanging in its place and function within the human condition and all life as we know it, a thing separate yet integrated intimately within the human condition and all life as we know it – humans have the unique ability to choose to recognize and resonate with this principal… or not, but it is always functional in our and all life whether we recognize it or not.

This “Prime Principal” functions as the basis of our life in this world – we can access the world/our life directly as it operates in the world through our principal sense organs and react accordingly to pure stimuli as most animals do, or we can access the world/our life through the discursive sense organ or mind and act out of conditioning of past experiences whether real or fabricated - most humans operate from one or a varying combination of these protocols.

There is a natural unconditioned stress free order of being and mind that is pure and resonant with the prevailing order of things – it is like being a child discovering the world through un-conditioned awareness, seeing things for the first time fearless and relaxed in the wonder and fascination with phenomena, intimately realizing its function and position within its environment and the world.

When this functioning is tainted/filtered with and through past conditioning that is driven by fear and ignorance of change, death, life, wants and dislikes based on opinion and conjecture versus pure function of what life is and needs to continue in a positive way for self and other – suffering ensues in the form of anger, greed, ignorance of the Way in life/things inevitably manifesting stress. We then hold on to stress as a prerequisite of life – we define our life by it - verses it being a signal that we are out of harmony with what is real and constant in life - a signal that we need to pay closer attention to and facilitate a change in the path we are walking so we can be resonant with the big picture. But usually we dwell in this stress as a perpetual condition rather than an indicator of what we are thinking, perceiving and doing is not resonant with the natural order of things/the singular gradient/universe/life.

Wisdom
Realization, access and function of the spirit of the breath to mind and body.
Wisdom is penetration to the nature of each phenomenal event/situation on a moment-to-moment basis with non-discursive knowledge of fundamental reality – universal sameness – the true nature of things.
Wisdom is not acquired, it is our inalienable right from birth – it is an endowment forever available to us, waiting for our uncovering of the Vital Essence and intuitive awareness.
Wisdom of the “Pure principal/Vital Essence” cuts through all confusion, complications and entanglements of ignorance – conquering all doubt and confusion.
Wisdom realizes the phenomenal sameness of all things/beings and the insubstantiality of class distinctions. Just internally witness silently all phenomena – this is the precursor to wisdom activity or actualization of the Great Compassion in this life.

Insight
Insight is concentrated inner vision penetrating the image of oneself, mentally seeing through the ego shell/life conditioning – realizing the fundamental of our life – diligently manifesting “Vital Essence” on a moment-to-moment basis (Vital Essence is not based in analysis or calculations). Relentlessly committed to uncover the “Prime Principal” with a penetrating investigative spirit is the fuel that powers the engine of insight.

Non-attainable attainment
Meditative absorption and discipline/positive self-restraint of body and mind.
Effortless continuous awareness, concentration and insight penetrating the life conditioning to see what is real/essential or most important in situations – looking within determined to clarify and acquire non-understanding of our deepest intention in relation to phenomena and events – cutting through attachments to modes of thought as material or a concrete thing.

Practice to perfect equally these qualities of being;
1. Wisdom/insight – Personal intimate insight into the nature of reality through meditation/transcendental apperception, and observation and contemplation of our mind, body, way being and the world we live in.
2. Mental & physical discipline – Meditation, effort, attentiveness, concentration, patience, endurance, equanimity.
3. Conduct – Intention, thought, speech, action and livelihood.
